CLK 500 Break-in procedures

What's the best way to break in the engine? I have heard just drive it normally, I have also heard keep it under 60 for the first 1,000 miles. What do you Benz experts think? What wax, leather care, ect.,ect., do you recomend? I'm going to have this car for a while and would like to take very good care of it. Any suggestions would be appreciated.[:p][:p]

I have been wondering the same thing. I was told by BMW that their new engines don't need breaking in. Is Mercedes the same?

Somewhere in your handbook it should tell you the proper break-in proceedure for your car. I think mine says max speed of 85 MPH and limit RPM to 4,700.

Also, vary your speed.
