I do believe that heated seats are geographically dependent, as almost every CLK I've looked at, including my first one, a 2002 CLK320 and all the ones between that one and my 2006 CLK350 Cab have had heated seats. However, when I travel, if it's to the south or western part of the country, I can almost never find a rental with heated seats.

As John said in the previous post, you can buy heated seat kits, and have them installed by your local upholstery shop. I did that on my 1968 Porsche and am very satisfied with the results. He charged me $50 a seat, and I installed the electric connections and switches.

That's kind of a slick deal. It would be an option as a last resort I suppose. Mike

Is dope slang for good? Would you elaborate as to why it is a "dope option?"

At the risk of identifying myself as a dope, it is not immediately obvious to me.

heated seats

Just bought 1 2008 clk 350 without heated seats. The car came from Florida and I live in Pennsylvania. Must I buy new seats or is there anyway I can convert them to heated seats without spending humongus bucks???

My only thoughts are above. See post #10 and #11 in this thread.

Is it possible to have OEM buttons with that aftermarket heating system? I prefer to have OEM looks rather than another random button for heated seats.
I bought 07 CLK350 from Ohio (originally from Nevada) and no heated seats too.

Just to add to this thread, I absolutely love my heated seats. I play a lot of racquetball and use the heat option to limber up my back, both before I play and after (while driving to or from the club), to help those back and leg muscles relax. I even use that feature in the middle of the summer, with the top down and the A/C working, because I just love the heat. When I started to look to get rid of my '01 CLK320, also with heated seats, that function was one of the top priorities for me.
