Shark Fin

We have recently taken delivery of a 2009 CLK 220 CDI which has a shark fin aerial on the roof. Can anyone explain what this is for? Is it simply for the radio or something else?

The car has no options other than metallic paint that we know of.

Is it on the roof?

Or at the top of the rear window, above the heater? If so, it is for a telephone.

Its so the black helicopters can trace your every mile.

That or for the airbag sensor system that phones home when you've been in a wreck.
