Yeah, well there must be 1200 posts on here and every other MB blog making the same comment... Why did my $60k MB sports car come with a flippin tape deck? Uh.. No Ipod connector? No bluetooth? No aux? WTF... Oh, there is an adapter.... $500 for the converter kit that needs to be installed? Uh.. no...
So, I have recently come across a better solution! No install and costing less than an A service.
Apparently, they're now making a bloothtooth tape adapter. This is very similar to the tapes with the cord coming out to plug into the headphone jack on ur Ipod, walkman or whatever. (which I've never gotten the CLK deck to take 'cause the cord). ($40 on thinkGeek)
Bam! Now you have bluetooth. (I saved you $350 - $650.. I take paypal

)
OK, now for the Ipod connectivity... Jabra makes an Ipod bluetooth adapter that plugs into the bottom of your Ipod. The Jabra runs around $75. Other manufactures make ones that plug into the headphone jack if you want to charge and play. I'm guessing that they are roughly the same cost.
Well there you have it. $115 (not $450) Not a crap radio frequency tuner thing. This should play at least tape quality and you can even hook your phone or other bluetooth device up to the car.
Just because I have a nice car doesn't mean that I appreciate folks asking me to pay through my nose. Be smarter!
