Wheel and tire questions on a 04' clk500

Ok,so I have read through a bunch of wheel and tire threads but am still a bit in the dark about the correct fitment for my 04' clk500. I currently have some 18x8 AMG replica style wheels..5 spoke with rivots..they are wrapped in some 235/40/18's.My current wheels are not staggered,although that is what I want eventually.I need to know if there is another size tire i could use with my current setup that will allow for a slightly wider stance on the rear without rim/tire fitment issues.

Secondly,only if someone has 100% knowledge on this,what are my rim/tire fitment options and offsets.I would like to go 19 x 8.5 front and 19 x 9.5 rear..but what offset do I need to make the wheels appear flush to the fenders of the car?Also,will 20's fit on the clk500 w209 body?I plan on getting some wheels off of ebay..I think they were called Sterns..but don't quote me on that.

So if someone with wheel knowledge could help me out,that would be awesome.Give me options in 18,19,and 20 if possilbe.Also, if anyone can get a deal on some good wheels..let me know!!

bump....I'm wondering the same thing for a friend. I know you didn't get any replies on this thread, but did you end up getting some rims?

The 20's will fit but mainly are for looks (doesnt fell as nimble or responsive - your also going Add weight and brake wear that whole different subject) 19's work very well (thats what im riding daily - not much downfall here ) 275/Rear/ never felt so good... Which 8 out 10 CLK owners - especially here on forums... Simply never experienced the benefits* they cant count higher than 245/HAha

If your going to spend 3 - 4 grand on wheels... the least you can do is figure the offset... Ha! Oh ya do your best! Stay away from spacer of any forms or you truly regretting the whole ordeal. Good luck*

I have to agree with u here 19 is perfect for CLK doesnt matter 320,350 or 500 jsut dont get 20 .
