W209 grill

Hi everyone,

I own a 2001 SLK 320 and I am looking for the grill as pictured below:



To me, this look exactly like a W209 grill but I am still a newbie when it comes to my SLK so I am not 100% sure.

(1) Does anyone happen to know if a W209 stock grill will fit my SLK 320 and if so, will it require any modification to fit?

(2) If it will fit with little or no modification, does anyone have one of these grills for sale or know of a place to get the exact grill as pictured above.

Any insight is much appreciated as the infomation in regards to this seems hard to come by, even in the SLK R170 forums.

There is much discussion on this in the SLK forum, people were using the W209 grill back in the day.

Do a search on eBay for "Mercedes Grill".... there are about 900 grills listed... one of them should fit... maybe try the W203 STAR grill???
