CLK 500 AMG?

Is there a CLK 500 AMG? I was at the shop the other day and saw a CLK 500 with AMG tags on the back and sides. I didnt get a look at the engine. I thought mercerdes only made a CLK 55 AMG.

Technically, no, there isn't. However, the CLK 500 was available with the AMG package ( body kit, dual exhaust, etc.) and it appears someone ( who knows who ) put AMG badges on some of these cars... I can tell you it p*sses off alot of CLK 55 AMG owners ( ask me how I know)... I happen to have a CLK 500 which came from the factory with the AMG package and 19" Lorinser LM6's AND has the infamous AMG badge on it ( I bought it used so have no idea who put it there ) ... It's not a true AMG however... It'll be interesting to see the "war of words" this thread creates...

Does yours have the dual exhuast? Mine has the AMG factory rims on it, and the side skirts and what not, but not the dual exhuast. I guess people put the badges on to impress, there's talk about that kind of nonsense in some of the other threads.

2 weeks ago I came across a c230 "AMG" on the pwky- I laughed so hard and almost wet my pants.

I saw a BMW with AMG tags all over it(trunk and both front fenders).

I belive All CLK 500 has the AMG pacakge (17"s wheels, bodykit, etc.).

As for the Exhaust it's not dual with the AMG ovel tip. I'm not sure on CLK 550 if they come dual or not.

All 2006-2008 Clk 500 and 550 came with dual exhaust tips but not quad exhaust tips EXCEPTED for mine 2006 Clk 500 Cabriolet with quad exhaust style tips but there's no way in hell I would put the "AMG" emblem on mine trunk.

Well that answer's my question- that guy had a poser AMG. I'm not particularly upset about it only the dudes at the shop saw my car and his side by side and where like "You need to get that model." When we really just had the same car.
