SOS Message Malfunction

Hi All,

The SOS button was disconnected when I purchased my car and I have no need to hook it back up. I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to supress the message so that it is not displayed as a malfunction each time i start or turn off my car.

Any Ideas?

Thanks in advance

Chris

Why was it disconnected? I don't know where the SOS button is in your SLK, but if its in the center console or overhead, you should be able to gently pop off the panel in question and reconnect it.. unless I'm missing your point completely.

Sorry, my profile had not been updated to show the CLK... The problem is not why it's disconnected. I don't need to pay for the subscription. I simply don't need the service and i just want the little malfunction warning to go away on my dash. Thanks in advance.

I have a 2005 CLK 500 AMG. The dealer disabled the warning without charge.
