reset service indicator

Hi
I just got an oil change and i need to reset my service indicator how do i do that?

I think you'll have to take it in. They need to plug it into the computer. They are reluctant to do it though.

I think the instructions apply to a W208 CLK and not W209's,
As far as I know W209's have to be connected to a STAR machine at MB Dealers.

That cannot be right, because I have recently reset my service indicator on my 2004 W209. It can only be attributed to the year of manufacture.

I tried EVERYTHING I've seen on these forums and nothing has worked for my year/model, 2003 CLK500.

Has anyone been SUCCESSFULLY in resetting the service reminders? (Other than having the dealer reset it)

Yes, see post 7. I reset mine last year on a 2004 CLK.

I think that I had to have the door closed, and I did the procedure from the manual given by MiamiMerc above...
