2002 s500 Sedan - Completely updated to 2006 spec with all USA options and some euro options.
I had a CLK Cab on order with Parktronic, dealer says it is 6+ months away. Today, I was able to reserve one for February delivery, has all the options I wanted except for keyless go and parktronic.
Salesman claimed Parktronic a decent gadget but not real practical.
Your thoughts?
By the way, I am going to take the sure thing in February rather than wait 6+ months for exactly what I wanted. Frankly, really am going to miss the keyless go, wanted that badly.
I think that depend by the country where You live in. If You are European I think is a MUST because the downtown streets are generally small and the parking areas are normally designed for small citycars. If You live in USA aren't so important because generally the streets and the parking areas are made for big cars. Anyway on this car You have a good allaround visibility and the parking aid is very important only in some situation, that in Italy aren't so unfrequently!!![:(!]
If You are european the suggestion is to get the car directly in Germany, there the waiting time is the time to put a sign on the ceck. Here in Italy the waiting time is 1 year, I get it in Germany in 15 days, delivery and car licence included!

...That's what I thought about parktronic when I got it as a default option. Before I knew it...I was completely hooked on the convenience of this option. Can't do without it in any city...large or small. Same applies to rain sensors!
...However it'll be quite cool to have a colored rear view camera...as in my second Jap. 4x4. It's the ultimate gadget ...and quite common in Jap. cars as an option.
