Kleeman Supercharger for CLK 320

Kleeman Supercharger for CLK 320
...........I have a 2000 CLK 320 with Lorinser gizmos. I would have liked to put a Lorinser supercharger, but they cost 25 grand and offer less increase in HP than Kleeman which costs less. My question is, has anyone had a Kleemman supercharger installed in their Clk 320 and if so:
a) How much did it cost?
b) How does the car compare to a stock CLK 55. I know it won't beat a CLk 55, but given that the V6 320 is a lighter car. what 0-60 and quater mile times can you get from the supercharged V6 compared to a stock 55. Thanks.

Ted
Kleemann clk 320 0-60 in 5.3 sec.??? That's can't be................
I think that the Kleemann Clk 430 spec., not the 320. Here's why, the Factory Clk 430 is about 1 full second faster then clk 320 from 0-60. So if, the Kleemann 320 can do 5.3s, that also meant the Kleemann 430 will do the same in 4.2s. In 4.2s, it should be ahead about 2 to 3 car lenght ahead of the E55 (factory spec. 0-60 5.3s)and the C32 (factory spec. 0-60 5.0s)right? That's not what i saw at the last Ervine Spectrum meeting drag race between the Kleemann Clk 430, E55 and C32. The Kleemann Clk 430 actually came in third behind the C32 (5.0s) and E55 (5.3s).So i think the Kleemann Clk 320 spec. you mention is too low.

Re: Kleemann clk 320 0-60 in 5.3 sec.??? That's can't be................

Oops, my mistake. The 320K does 0-60 in 6 seconds, and 1/4 mile between 430 and 55. I saw Ben(Mach430) from Evosport race an E55 and he easily won by a few car lengths. His car is putting out about 30 more HP than the CLK43K at the Irvine Spectrum meet. Ted, if you're really interested in getting a Kleemann Supercharger, I would recommend you to email ben@evosport.com for more info, he's a nice guy and he'll be more than happy to help you.

-Bruce

Re: Kleemann clk 320 0-60 in 5.3 sec.??? That's can't be................

......Linh. The stock CLK 430 is not 1 second faster than the CLK 320. The 430 0-60 is 6.1 and the 320 is 6.9 secs. Also with the Kleeman supercharger, you supposedly get an additional 100-120hp boost at the crank compared to stock. This is pretty much the same for both the 430 and the 320. See the evosport website. But because the 430 weighs more than the 320, the hp/weight ratio favors the 320. So the calculations you made will not be valid for the above reason. Having said that, 0-60 in 5.3 secs for a supercharged CLK 320 is simply monstrous. If I can see it documented somewhere. I will get the Kleeman.

Ted...read my post again................................
so the stock Clk 430 is faster then the Clk 320 is .8 sec. Then if the Kleemann Clk 320 0-60 is 5.3s then should the Kleemann Clk 430 do 0-60 in 4.5s, right? The answer to that is no. Kleemann clk 430 do 0-60 is 5.0s. So the Kleemann Clk 320 should do 0-60 in 5.8s not 5.3s !!! The weight from the S/C that has added is not that much different between the V8 and V6.

Well Ted, Kleemann C320 is the same engine as Clk 320 and was quoted as 0-60 in 6.0s.

Re: Well Ted, Kleemann C320 is the same engine as Clk 320 and was quoted as 0-60 in 6.0s.

.......I think 5.3 is probaably unrealistic, but 6.0 is probably a bit too slow. The stock CLK 430 goes 0-60 in 6.1 seconds and has 275HP. A Kleemann supercharged CLK 320 weighs a bit less and has 330hp, 55hp more than a stock 430. Therefore, I would think that a Kleeman CLK 320 will be faster than 6.0 seconds from o-60. Your point about the Kleemann C320 is well taken, it depends on the 0-60 time for the stock C320 before it was Kleemannized. Unfortunately, I don't know what that figure is.

Ted
