Add-on V60 Motorola to Comand system? Is it doable?

When I got my CLK55, I opted not to get the V60 phone ($1950) as I already have a V60; and I figured I could just get the install kit later.<br>
Well, when I went to order it, now they tell me it's not compatible, that MB has proprietary pin assignments or some software, etc. etc. <br>
I got a shoulder shrug from the tech guys at my dealership when I asked why I should have 2 $400 phones. Do you guys know of any adapters or the real scoop on this? I can't believe MB would encourage a wasted resource.
