What's brake pad life on clk430 with regular street driving?
I'm getting to replace my tires after 16,000 miles and thought it might be wise to do the brakes at the same time, if they need to be replaced.

I have noticed that the brakes are not as quick as they used to be. They're still feeling good, but I'm not sure if I should get a brake service at 16k miles.

Is the brake pad sensor indicator a reliable source to tell me when to have the brakes serviced, or is it more of an emergency warning that the brakes are going to die in 10 miles...

Thanks
The brake pad sensor alerts you when there is apprx 5-10% pad left, more than enough to get to the dealers.... a few weeks later. My front pads lasted me over 20K miles with hard driving. Unless you feel the need, I'd wait another few thousand miles.
