a bit of help on a simple install

I recently ordered a flat emblem for my hood to replace the star that stands up. When i went to install it the installation was not so simple i was unable to figure out how the emblem i got from performance products.com sits on my car. Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Re: HUH?

thanks for the link but that doesnt tell me anything. I was able to take the stock emblem off with no problem you just turn it underneath the hood and take it off. But the product i got from performance products.com only comes with 2 plastic pieces one with a screw built into it and a nut that wont go past the top of the screw and a piece that looks like a skate boarding ramp. is that the right emblem they sent me? i can't seem to make it work i dont even see how it would work. thanks

Yes that's the right one.

Parts you got :

How to assemble :
Once you finish assembling the top part, place on top of the hood.
The skate board and nut hold it in place. You won't be able to tighten it as much and so, the badge can be moved a bit. This is normal.
