Exhaust Resonator

I have a clk430 -w- the clk55 dual tip exhaust on it. It sound good, but I'd like a bit more rumble. Don't want it to loud. Has anyone removed the resonators. How much louder was it? THANKS!

Where did you get the CLK55 muffler from? I presume it's not the entire cat-back system?

I haven't seen the one from Autoclass. If it's cat-back, it should have had piping from the muffle

muffler all the way to the catalytic converter. However, since you're inquiring about the resonator, which comes after the cat, then I presume it's not?

Have you had it installed?

Oops, you've had it installed...I just re-read your post.

Is there a big diff. between the AMG exhaust and stock exhaust?

Tea had his resonator removed.

No, it is not a cat-back just the muffler

If you want it to be louder I strongly suggest you to remove the resonator.
It sounds great IMHO

Yeah, it's just the muffler. How much louder than stock was it. Is it really loud when cruising on the highway?
