How much is installation for shocks and springs?

I was thinking of purchasing shocks and springs. Can Anyone tell me approx. how much they paid for installation? Also What can i do to make the car faster (other than crazy things like kleeman)? I already put in a K&N, removed resonator, and have an eissenman exhaust. Do I need to have the computer or something recalibrated because of the increased airflow?

Re: How much is installation for shocks and springs?

Installation varies by shop-to-shop, but averages about 4 hours of billable flag-hour labor.

Get your setup installed by a shop equipped with the special German tools to remove your springs (allows coil spring removal without loosening any of the suspension bolts/nuts).

Better MB shops are always equipped with the right tools. The right tools allow these shops to do the complete spring/shock job typically in under 45 minutes.

Remember that you pay for the shop time, tool time and expertise - NOT the actual time it takes to do the job.

If you are in or near San Diego ..i would recommand you to go to autowerksexpress. They have all....
the factory tools to do the job right and you can actaully deal with the owner there. They don't charge you like the dealership does.Very highly recommanded.I no longer offer to do anything FREE to anyone, anymore.

Arnee..i will install the Eibach spring in a couple day. The reason i don't offer to do.............
spring anymore because now that i meet Randall and his wife. They are wonderful people. It would not be fair to their's business. By the way..Arnee. My mom backup her car and totally damaged my slk driver side door right before i was getting ready to cruise last Saturday. luckly, i still have enought time to go home and get the Clk. I were kindna disappointed with the Clk because everyone else is lowered except my Clk. They were kindna joking about my AWD Clk (car hieght).

Yeah, the CLK Outback. I need to lower mine also! I'm curious to see how Eibach lowers the 430....

Though it may need Bilsteins to get better handling and now make the car feel unstable.
