A friend of mine had the E55 and found it not as impressive as he thought it would be in the corners. He felt it was too sedan like.<br> <br> It totally depends on what you want out of it.<br> <br> He now owns a Porsche Cabriolet and his wife is PO'd cause with two kids its too small!<p>

CLK 55..

They are so different...

They are so different, so it really depends on what you need. The CLK looks a hell of alot cooler, however, if you are the primary driver for more than 2 people you might think about the E55. However, don't buy the CLK55 thinking you are buying a sports car. It's a sports coupe but needs suspension work. Despite their 5.5. liter engines, both cars are a bit underwhelming stock.<p>

Believe it or not: Turns out an E55 is faster than a CLK55. I still prefer the looks of a CLK

How is that possible? It defies all logic. Unless the CLK's gearing is ridiculously conservative.

E55 has a few more horsepower, possibly from the straight exhaust path. (CLK twists around battery)
