I saw a few cars on this board with 19' CL wheels...such as Frank. Is this referring to wheels from a CL or is that the brand name of wheels? What are the prices? Is there any problems with going with 19's? Do I have to roll the fenders? Do I need to upgrade the brakes for stopping? Will the speedometer, ABS, etc be out of whack? Thanks in advance!
Yes wheels from the CL55. They're called AMG CLs or 215 style wheels.
Spacers are needed to make them fit. Price varies but the wheels itself aren't too expensive. It's just finding someone who will do it for you since it's not meant for the car. 8.5s all around do not need fender rolling. If you go with the proper tire (235/35/19 for an 8.5 wheel), your speedometer and everything else should be fine.

Thanks for your help. One final question, if I decide to go with an 18' wheel, do they sell this in this CL style? I currently like the wheels that are coming with the 2002 CLK 430. It is a thinner spoke which looks similar to the CL wheel. Does that rim come in an 18'? I am finding that the only AMG rim in an 18' is the monoblock which is the same style they have had since the 80's.... Any suggestions? Thanks!

The 18' (and 19') version has 4 bolts between each spoke instead of 3.<br> <br> As far as other 18' AMG wheels (non-approved), they are:<br> <br> 1) The AMG one-piece Styling II setup from the E55 (18x8.0ET31 front and 18x9.0ET35 rear). A few CLK owners have this setup. The front wheels stick out a little too far, so you'll have to roll the front fenders to prevent rubbing. You'll want 225 tires in front and 255 tires in the rear.<br> <br> 2) The AMG one-piece Styling I setup from the SL Sport (18x8.5ET25 front and 18x9.5ET25 rear). Unfortunately, the offsets are wrong, so you need to do some machine work to correct the offset and make these work on a CLK. Then you're still left with 225 tires on 8.5' rims in the front. I think this looks goofy. FYI, this is also available in a multipiece version with 18x8.5ET18 in front and 18x10.0ET17 in the rear but it's even more work to make it fit.<br> <br> 3) The AMG one-piece Styling I setup from the S55/CL55 and S/CL Sport (18x8.5ET44 front and 18x9.5ET46 rear). These can be fit with wheel spacers, plus machine work to correct the bolt spacing.<br> <br> Lastly, AMG is supposed to introduce a new 18' wheel sometime this fall/winter, but I don't know any details. These might be the new SL55 wheels.<br>
