CLK 430 rough idle and loss of power

I just got my CLK 430 but it shakes a bit when its idling, and when I press the kick down it will shift Down but it does not go over 3000 rpm.
It just has no power anymore

It has 40k miles on it, and i just have the CPS replaced (thnks to many information on BenzWorld) after the car dies when it's on temperature.

Could it be the MAF, or are there any other things that could cause this.
I also reset the ECU and followed the steps for an ECU reset on BenzWorld, but it didnt solve it.

Thnks

Nick

The best place to start is to have the fault codes read out as this will put you in the right area for diagnostics to start.

Plus 936 on getting codes read before you just start guessing and replacing; that can get frustrating, expensive and time consuming in a big hurry.

First thnks for the other reply's

Got the codes read and the dealer sad that is was the lambda sensor, but after we called a Dosch dealer he said that the sensosr are probably polluted and the best way to solve that was just open up the throttle.
so I did that and after a while the car drove much better the kick down started working and it was much more powerfull.
Its still not at its full power but I think that will be a matter of time.
So I went driving today and than I noticed a small knock.
I think its coming from my back axle, I can only hear it when I am rolling about 5 mph (windows down) and give some gas, not much just a gentle push on the throttle.

Is this normal or is there something wrong whit my CLK?

thnks

mine does this also, i checked all the driveshaft hardware and everything checks out okay, but there is some play back and forth on the driveshaft, about an 1/8 turn or so, so maybe its just the driveshaft trying to "catch up" when we give it a good amount of gas, and now mine also has power loss like yours

I've had this same problem all summer long...to make a long story short:
2001 77k miles
Last year installed the Kleemann headers with 200 cell sportcats and new plugs.
No issues until this summer, about 1 year/10k miles since install of headers I started to notice the car would bog down while coming to a complete stop. This only happened intermittently and after the 5th time i started to get the C.E.L.
Codes were for P300-P306 (random misfire/misfire on cylinders 5-7) and also a P150 code (Bank 2 Sensor 1 02 circuit).
I replaced the fuel filter and everything was O.K. for a week.
I then swapped the coil packs from Bank 2 to Bank 1, still having the issue.
I bought new 02 sensors and BANG! fixed the problem. This was great for about three weeks, outstanding fuel mileage and great power---but then the cats started to fail...
I knew that these would not last as I used a set of shitty cats that were left on the shelf so we replaced them with a better set..I figured this was it for the summer, no more issues but it's been two weeks now and the car is still not right.
With the new cats, new fuel filter, new 02 sensors, the car still hesitates, feels underpowered, and is nowhere near the fuel mileage I once used to get.
This weekend I pulled the MAF and cleaned with CRC, I noticed the inlet pipe to the throttle body was loose so i reclipped and put everything back together...NO LUCK. The car is still "Not Right". ( I mean "Not Right" because this car used to pull like a monster, get great gas mileage with no issues.

I got some updates on my car and maybe it can help you to.
My O2 sensors aren’t polluted it was my MAF all the time.
I fought it where my O2 sensors because i drove it a while pretty fast trying to see if that cleans the O2 sensors.
And it did drove better much better (but still not perfect), but after a ECU reset is was all gone.
Thats because when you reset the ECU it gets new data from the MAF, but the data is wrong.
And that causes the power loss, i replaced my MAF and solved it all.
It’s still driving fine now.

Also O2 sensors fault codes can be triggered by an broken MAF(i also had O2 sensors codes).
An broken MAF will in most cases not throw an CEL (i didn’t get any)
So maybe you can try replacing you’re MAF (don’t know if you already replaced it)

And how are the Kleemann headers with 200 cell sportcats?
Did you noticed it good?
