Hey, DL.

This is a picture of the connector you're looking for:

unplug

Hey gregs,
I have the visual on the pre cat sensor but trying to get it removed is the question. I can see how to remove it from the cat(if I had room) with a wrench but I can't figure out how to unplug it from the 4 plug cluster(that all four sensor leads converge)that ultimately leads to the ECU.

MarcusF, gregs et al

And......guess what? Stopped at the grocery store on the way home from work; when I came back out and started the car the CEL was out. Go figure!

There must be some kind of internal plastic clip holding the 4-pin socket in situ, otherwise it would drop out. It cannot twist because of the polarising groove that is clearly shown.

clip

found the clip/keeper and was able to unplug it. At least now I know I can get it off. Ordered the sensor even though the light went out. Don't trust it to stay out. Thanks one and all.

sensor replaced

two days before the sensor arrives, no CEL. on my way home from work the day it arrives the light comes on. I replace the sensor today and the light won't go out. Hmmm? Ordered a OBDII code reader that will erase codes so maybe that will do the trick? Anybody?

it's here

my code reader arrived today, hooked it up, scanned and got the same codes as autozone, erased the codes, the CEL went out. ta da! Now that the new o2 sensor is in.....let's see if the light stays off.
