about to buy a new bumper..but what is this part?
Ok so im about to buy a new amg bumper for my clk430...I was wondering what the heck this part is? (circled in orange). Can i just snap it off my old buumper and re-use it? Do i need to buy a whole new strip with corner lights?

I believe the answer to your questions is yes and you will if you like break the one on your current bumper.
