ESP, ABS, and BAS malfunction... brake switch didn't fix, need help

Hi everyone,
I need a little help.

While an installer was installing an alarm, he was trying to tap into the brake's wire so the alarm would know when the brake is pressed.

I don't know what he did but now BAS, ABS, and ESP errors light up every time I start the car.

I told them to remove any wires they put next the the braking system and tried to solve the problem.

I've tried resetting the ECU - no dice
Installed new brake switch - no dice

Anyone have any more ideas?

I really appreciate it!

yep, so I just got romped by the dealer.

They just told me that a k40 relay was shorted. Part is ~$150 + 2 hrs labor...

totalling a good $440...

tech details for others:
the k40 relay controls power to both the steering angle sensor and the brake lamp switch.

Post ABS BAS/ASR

I was having this problem on my 98 and all I did was clean the front and rear speed sensors with a little electrical cleaner and presto, no more lights. So far so good, I only did it today but I restarted my car a bunch of times just to check. Hopefully this saves you a few bucks!
