damn, it's been longer than I thought since I last logged on!
Last time I was here, I was banging on about Le Man and I have to say.. it was great!
The drive down was very straight forward and the car drove fantastically. She drives very smooth at 130 .
As you'd expect, there were LOADS of gorgeous cars all making their way down to Le Man - you name it, it was there! It really was a great atmosphere amongst the journey makers.
It was weird driving on the left but strangely, it seemed second-nature after a while?!
Me and my mates stayed in a campsite which was literally a 5 minute walk from the track. Again, the atmosphere amongst the campers was cracking.
It was crazy to see Mercs, Lambos, Ferrari's (ALL of them it seemed, even an F40), Astons, Ford GT's, R8's, Porkers, Mustangs etc etc... all littered around the campsites. All sitting in the grass next to tents. Best part was finding a CL63 AMG sitting all on it's own. Again, I will post pics.
The track was great. Being a 24 hour race, you can visit/ leave the track during the night or day (seeing the race car brake discs glowing in the dark was wicked!)
Me and one of my mates did a spot of 'rambling' to get close to the Mulsanne Straight -the cars achieve some 351kph down that stretch!
Out of all the race cars, your Corvettes were blatantly the loudest!! I shit you not, they sounded like WWII planes!
The Diesel Audi (the R10, I think it is) and the Diesel Peugot were almost silent.
Audi won the race. Only because Mercedes weren't there!
I also managed to scale a fence to get up and close to the race cars after the race - I know I know, climbing barriers is not too respectful but I just had to get some snaps!
I have lots of pictures to show if anyone is interested. I will be posting some soon.
Pictures were taken on my phone, so sorry if some are blurred.
I've glanced down the list of threads and there are bloody loads of unread threads!! I'm going to look through them to see what you guys have been up to.
I hope/ trust all of you are well.
P.S: I bought a PS3 the other week, which is another reason why I haven't shown my face for a while....or slept...or eaten...or left the house. Bloody Grand Theft and Gran Turismo, innit!! HAHA LOL

Unfortunately, didn't really have a chance to stop off in Dunkerque to check out audio upgrades but I suspect I'll be heading that way again in the not-too-distant future!
I trust you are still enjoying your audio install!

Oh yeah. It's hard to get out of the car once you park it.
I didn't realise Le Mans was such a scene in the parking lots. I'm going to have to get there one of these years - I've heard the overnight carnival is good fun too.
Does PS3 have the Nurburgring track? I am dutifully training now on PS2!
