Arrow Can someone tell me how to remove the interior trim pieces?

I found another CLK with the MAPLES EYE BURLWOOD interior trim. (the darker color, cause i have the light brown wood-grain style). I'm planning to go check out the CLK in person cause the car is being parted out at some shop. But the thing is... If i decide to buy the interior trim pieces, i don't know how to take it apart. Can someone help me out?

Please post in details.

Steps?
Tools?
Special instructions?

I would attempt to do it the way i think it would come off, but i don't wanna ruin/damage anything.

Have you tried doing any research on it personally? There are websites that give detailed diagrams and recommended tools, or were you trying to just looking for an easier way?

I'm in the exact same boat. The CLK 430 that I have for sale has the darker trim and the CLK 55 has the browner shade that I want to swap out with the 430. I may do a nav swap as well.

AustinAMG - what sites are you talking about? The only place I've seen these is on the MB Startek site: http://www.startekinfo.com/StarTek/

In any case, I have the instructions to all of these so pm me with your email address and I'll try to get them to you as soon as possible...

The wood trim piece on the door panel has to be removed from inside. When you take off the door panel, there are four or five round shelf sealing clips. All you have to do is prize them open with a screw driver. Then when you put in the new wood strips, just push back on the round clips. They are very fiddly and the door panel is a pain to take off too.
The wood trim on the center just push / pull off. The only one I don't know to take off is the long piece across the dash. Good luck.

THe long center piece you just need to slide to the right. The center shift surround area is just a pop out piece?
