when i bring my engine to 2500rpm and 3500 it makes a grnding like sound just b4 it changes gears. if u hold it at the rpm the sound wll stay constant. any1 have any idea what it could be?
mine makes a sound also but i took it to a transmission shop and they said everything was fine and there wasnt a problem but they didnt know where the sound was coming from
Just had my transmission rebuilt. It made a loud pop sound and then when I put in park it would roll forward, put in reverse, it rolled forward and put in Neutral and it went backwards. Once the car got going it ran ok... Just spent $3300.00 on transmission, so if you are having problems get it fixed before too late...no matter what MB says the transmission fluid needs to be changed. My car is a 98 CLK 320 and I just went over 169k.
