Just bought black projectors for $325 (free shipping)

So I came across this site that is selling both black and chrome projector headlights for the W208.

The cost was surprisingly lower ($325 shipped) than I've seen elsewhere, so I decided to go ahead and pick up a pair of the black ones for my silver CLK 430.

The website is new egg mall dot com.
search for "clk"
[not sure if i'm allowed to post web links?]

What do you think?

Does that mean that you're buying a set?

I'm waiting for someone to make these to fit (plug and play) with my factory OEM xenon plugs.

The mod thing with the cable adapters is a hassle or running new ballasts is not ideal.

it's always gonna be a hassle to make the factory xenons fit. the ballasts and everything must be mounted somehow. the factory system also has automatic leveling...probably won't get that in any cheap aftermarket parts. the easiest thing is to put in an aftermarket xenon kit and leave your factory xenons in the factory housing. this way, if u ever sell the car, you just swap out the housings and have the projectors w/ xenons to sell back.

Ya, you're probably right.

Do you know if the adapter cables are $50 each or $50 for the pair?

This will change the OEM HID D2R connector to allow for other HID Bulbs H1, H3, H7 etc. This way OEM HID owners not only can use different HID Bulbs but can install the new style projectors without any modifications.

I had blown my 6000K D2R HID bulb and they were out of stock so I used the adapter to go with a HID H7 6000K bulb. Plug and play, installation in less then 1 minute

Picture provided.

Cost $50

Question

Y'know what, yea I think I'm going to get these, I can't let them slip for this price.

I don't know jack about lights, so if any more knowledgeable people feel free to chime in and let me know what kind of lights I should buy for these.

The install I'm going to have my mechanic do it, but I want to make sure I have everything required for the install. Once I have the list, I'm putting the order through.
