Cluster reads -38 Celcius for Temp - Sensor problem?

Has anyone had this problem?

My Speedo Cluster reads -38 Celcius for Temp. Could this be an outside temp sensor problem? Where is that sensor located anyway?

I checked the temp using the Climate control unit by pressing rest and it states 127 (that can't be right for Celcius) for the outside temp.

Also, forgot to mention that the temp stays at those figures and does not change at all when driving the car even up to operating temperature.

lol no 36oC is not -36oF. 36oC is about 92oF. The temp that our car shows is outside temp, just try messing aroudn with the settings and im sure you can change it to Fo and then turn the car on in night day or whatever to see if the temp changes.

Cool

The outside temp sensor is located in your front bumper behind the diffuser next to fog light, probably driver's side (it is on my 01 w208 anyway). It's about 2 1/2 inches long and about as big as a magic marker at the base and then tapers to a point (looks like a cone). You can get them anywhere. I have an extra. They are pretty cheap. Worth a shot to narrow it down anyway. However, we all have pixel 'issues' in one way, shape, or form. Maybe this is your dash starting to mess with you ???? Definitely check the sensor first. Really really easy to change. 1 minute. I hope this helps.
