Okay, so, it turns out that the temp reading for outside temp reads properly on the Climate Control unit, but the Instrument cluster (Speedo unit) still is "stuck" at "-38".
So, would I assume that the sensor under the car is working but the cluster is not picking it up? Any idea if both the Cluster and Climate Control gets the temp reading from that same temp sensor under the front of the car?
I love teh car, but that reading is annoying.

Yep, Axis Milanos. There're about to replace the puny 17's on my CLK55 Cab that I just picked up. Have them on my CLK 430 Cab right now and have had lots of compliments.
Best wheels ever. Any car that I get from now on will have Axis Milanos even if I have to make them fit. Love em! Ho do you like yours?

Unfortunately, I don't know if the CC unit reads off the same as the dash display. My first inclination is yes, but without a print, I couldnt say for sure. If out of warranty, I would change that sensor before anything. (It IS that cheap and THAT easy). If under warranty, I would def bring it in. Unless dealer was a long way away ( gas prices ). then I would still change that sensor first. You dont even need tools.

I think they're fantastic. Low priced, pretty lightweight, reliable so far, and absolutely stunning looks. I'm getting ready to do a facelift and some custom paint on them b/c I don't want a different spoke styling. In my opinion they're pretty close to the perfect fit for the 208's.
So i was under my car changing the oil this weekend and found that my sensor had come unplugged. Could be your problem too. The sensor is on the inside of the bumper, on the drivers side, close to the center. it has 2 wires and a connector. I think the wires were brown and orange or brown and green or green and orange. if its plugged in, unplug it and make sure the terminals are clean.
Thanks. Will be doing an oil/coolant/thermostat change next weekend, so I'll be checking this as well.
