This will change the OEM HID D2R connector to allow for other HID Bulbs H1, H3, H7 etc. This way OEM HID owners not only can use different HID Bulbs but can install the new style projectors without any modifications.
I had blown my 6000K D2R HID bulb and they were out of stock so I used the adapter to go with a HID H7 6000K bulb. Plug and play, installation in less then 1 minute
I love spy news. Are you switching to smoked tails? Yours lights are so diamond like/sexy on the silver paint. How are u getting this spy info? If they have anything for the R170 SLK send me a secret message.
how does that plug work williams.. you dont have to buy the hid kit?
What's up boss.
Ok, look at sample picture #4
1. The red round plug to the far right represents the MB OEM HID D2R Connector.
2. The middle cable represents the cable adapter which directly plugs into the D2R.
3. The module in the far left is the HID H7 Bulb which connects to the middle cable.
Total L/R installation is 3 minutes.
If your going to buy from them their HID Bulbs are about $50 each.
They normally only carry H1,H3,H7,D2S HID 6000K or 8000K.
