Hey yall, My main key stopped working on me and Ive tried the norm and have givin up on it.
what Im wondering is, can I get a new key from the dealership that looks cooler than this lame flat black plastic key I have now? or what they usually do with the style of keys... Anyone already gone through this and know how that works, prices, styles available to you, ect...
Yes. I went through it with my indi shop while I was under my "parts at cost" warranty and I got the new key for something like $105 about 6 months ago.
I'm in the same boat as you right now blckbenz...my key is toast, I have to remove the actual key to just lock and unlock my CLK...quite the pain I must say. It's not a super-cheap replacement either if my memory serves me correctly. I'd also like a different style of key too...maybe we're stuck with what we've already got though.
