So just today I was backing out of my parking space at work and BAM. Hello Mr. Parking pole, meet Mr. Rear Bumper/Quarter Panel.
So, I went to the body shop right after to get an estimate and see how much i am going to be out. I was fully expecting it to be expensive, but my god. The end estimate was $3,700.00!!!!!
Sooooooooo. I'm wanting to see if anyone has an idea of what I can do to cut the cost down. The bumper needs to be replaced, which is probably the most expensive part. Any ideas where I can buy one that would cost less than $1400?
Thanks in advance.
Edit**Pics below!

sry to hear that bro...try ebay, a junkyard, or aftermarket
Other than the bumper being damaged, how bad is the damage to the quarter panel?
you can definitely save money on replacing your bumper by buying it somewhere online, having it painted at a descent place. As far as the quarter panel, i'm sure it costs a lot to repair but it also depends on how much damage was done.
Here's some pictures, which I will let speak for themselves. Also, I have found a rear bumper for $399 + $85 shipping. I think I should jump on it.....
The quarter panel is dented and scratched, though only lightly for the later. Did I mention the pole I hit had a concrete base?
This is starting to seem like a good opportunity to get those LED tails I've been wanting though......haha. Gotta look on the brightside huh?
Where did you get your's gixer?
the guy who did the groupbuy on the projector headlights wants to offer the LED tails too...prob for $250 shipped....i installed mine and theyre workin fine ...i ve been slackin on postin the pics..i have a photo n videoshoot this weekend so hopefully ill post pics after that...
the bumper can be repaired by a plastic or f/glass workshop & can be put back into shape by heating proceduce, the dent and paint would have to go back to the body shop ,check out the silver lights on Ebay it Looks good on a Silver car

I'm down in Oklahoma by the way gixer.
Yeah, that bumper that you found online is pretty cheap, i think you should get it. Just have it painted at some place you can trust. it shouldn't cost that much.
As far as the dent, it's seriously not that bad. i'm not sure if you know of any places around your area that offer "paintless dent removal". those types of companys can remove dents so well, it'll seem as if nothing ever happened.
I bought my tail lights from this company...
(the good thing about them is, if there's ever any problem, they're willing to help out the customer in any way possible)
Check with Dent Wizards. They can remove many dents without having to repaint and by the looks of the fender the paint looks undamaged. I.ve had many door dings removed, some that I thought would be difficult. I just had one removed this past week for $40.00.

That sounds great, only thing is there are some somewhat minor scratches on the panel. Seems like they would be able to just touch up that part and blend it in, but I'm not too familiar with paint so I'm not sure that could be done. Guess I'll find out Monday when I take it to a guy I know who says he can probably do it for waaaaay less than the other shop.
