Brake Job and Intake Swap Complete

Here are some pics of my changes. The brake setup is Akebono ceramic pads and ATE Premium rotors with a little ceramic caliper paint for looks. The pic of the front wheel is after 500 miles driven and no wash. What dust there is doesn't show up as it is the same color as the wheel.

Good job mate! Looks great.

The brake dust aspect is great too... I hate having to re-clean the wheels or give them a quick dusting after a couple of short trips.

Yeah, I just did my brakes a month ago and I used the Akebono Euro Ceramic Pads. I can't believe the difference in brake dust. In fact, there is none that I can see. I love those pads. For rotors, I went with the Brembo Sport Performance Drilled/Slotted Rotors. And I flushed the system and filled it with Brembo Sport 500+ Brake Fluid.

Ha Ha! Thanks Z. I used a heat gun to work the 430 intake tubes onto the 55 box and zip tied 'em on. Perfect!

The Akebono pads are well worth the investment. You keep me advised about the exhaust. Oh yeah, I just "clay barred" my car and it came out grrreat.

You can use Akebonos on stock rotors. Just be sure there is enough of them left. Specs are in the DIY section.
