Looks good... How does that air intake work compared to the original? I just posted a thread on an ebay intake that looks very similar to your set-up. BTW very clean engine.

Hi mate.

I've "cut and pasted" part of a message that I posted on another thread hope it helps.
Let me know if you want any other info.

I replaced my factory induction box/ kit with a Green Coton single cone induction kit. I wasn;t expecting vast HP increases but it certainly seems alot more eager (throttle response). The supercharger is also alot more audiable!!

Regarding air intake quality:

What I have done is also keep the original intake hose (behind the grille) attached to the car. This hose is curved and aims straight towards where the new cone filter is positioned. So although not sucking the air from the front, it is getting air from the front blasted in it's direction.

The cone filter is also able to draw in alot more air than the original hose. The original hose (the sole source of air for the engine) is no bigger than the base of a mug ( I know you guys probably have 2 with your bigger engined cars) whereas the cone filter has it's entire surface to draw in air.

Can't say that the car has "loads more pwer" but it was a cheap mod, and the car seems to like wearing it.

You could get one and if you don't like it, put the old one back on.

I have had no problems at all.

Just make sure you maintain the filter properly though.
Hope this is of some use to you.

That's funny I just read your intake comments and came back to this thread to let you know you already answered my question. Thanks for your quick response. Where did you get your intake?

wow i love it rashman

the only thing that is confusing me is that u have some stuff on your engine which i dont have on my but we have the same sized engines. Probably because your engine is a newer year. I see some extra plastic and cables which i dont have on my engine.

But overall very nice and clean engine.
What do you guys think would a blow off valve be good thing to install on a automatic clk 230 k or?

Sorry for the late reply.. been helping my brother fill a van with all his stuff.

It's all been round my house but he has just recently bought a place in London.

The only company I could find that did an induction kit for the 230 Komp was GREEN COTON FILTERS. They are a french company.

It went on very easily and has not proved problematic at all!

Hi mate.

Thanks for your comments.

Hey!....you know Cornwall!

I friend of mine who I used to go to school with is in the Armed Forces. He is a Royal Engineer and has been based down in Cornwall for the last 3 or 4 years.

However, he has recently been relocated in Germany and will be there for 3 years.

Chrome rims. When you say HIGH, do you mean popular?

There are still alot of alloys around here in the UK. The rims I have are alloys but they have a polished outer face.

I'd say that alloys are still very popular!

Thanks again.

Hi mate,

I can't answer that I'm afraid. I let my guy at MB look after the mechanical things, I just keep her clean and drive carefully.

I'm learning more as I go though!!

It maybe because mine is a later model.
