Where can I find the lamp and lights for the license plate?
Hey fellaz, can you guys send me links to where i can find new replacement lamps and aftermarket bulbs for my license plate trunk lights?
i'm planning to get white lights instead of the ones i have now which are the OEM bulbs.
oh, by the way... what options do i have to PREVENT the "check bulb" signal on the dash from coming on?
- change one of the fuses by the driver side door?
- load resistor?
- which is better and why? what else is there?
Does anyone have pics after having aftermarket dome lights and aftermarket reverse lights?
Are the reverse lights bright enough or brighter than OEM?
Thanks

I bought my LED license lights from HID WHITE SMT 9 LED DOME LIGHT BULB 6411 6418 6423 6461. They look great btw =). Not sure if it threw the "Light Malfunction" warning though because one of my headlights went out the same night (lol figures) so we'll have to see when the replacement bulb comes in. Heres a pic after changing the lights though.
The instal was pretty simple. I'll link some pictures another board member put up when I find it.

I too replaced my festoon bulbs for 9 led bright white lights and they look really clean, compared to the filament bulbs. I got them from ebay for £7 ($14) a pair length = 8mm Theres loads of companies selling them. To get around the 'checkbulb issue ' you can add 'load resistors' which you can buy from electrical shops of about 5watts to simulate a bulb load, or do what I did and use the existing filament bulbs.
What I did was I had two spare bulb holders from an old car and I just wired them up across the number plate led bulbs in parrallel, I then mounted the bulbs into the lining of the boot which gives me extra light at night, so I now have 3 bublbs in total!
