I've searched but didn't really find any good answers so I'll just ask about this. Whenever I try to close my sunroof it "sticks" right before the very end, preventing me from closing it all the way. If I help it out by pushing it just a bit it will close. Openng is just fine, problem is only when closing. Also, my one-touch open doesnt work either. Any ideas? I've tried resetting it but it didn't fix anything. Thanks in advance.

In california a closed sunroof is a no no. lol mine sticks too so while driving push the sunroof button UP and after it wont go up any higher, hold it for 5 seconds more, this resets the sunroof. If this doesnt work, park the car somewhere, put the key to position 2, then do the same thing above, that should do the trick.
The reset doesn't fix it. Seems like its getting caught on something? Also, how fast does your sunroof move? Mine seems kinda slow, it takes about 6 full seconds to close. (Thats really the only way I can judge the speed lol)
Haha yeah Mine is kind of slow too. about 6-7 seconds for it to close and sometimes it dose get stuck about half way but that reset is a nice trick to know. thanx
Anyway, as far as yours getting caught right at the end when your are closing it is because there is a black... lip of some sort that flips up from the front part of the sunroof when you open it. *You can see it very easily and even move it up and down when from the outside of the car when it is open.
Whenever I close my sunroof from the outside of the car, using the key. It gets to this and hesitates cause it seems like it has to push a little bit harder to get past this "Lip" and be able to push it down.
Maby thats what yours is getting stuck on. Easy fix. and you get to keep your arm and a leg.
Hope this helps, Oh! and Btw I have a 99 Clk430 just in case this is different on any of y'alls cars. but I would assume its the same on all.
everyone may have debree in the tracks...its common when you leave the roof open (as my wife tells me) but open the roof and check for grime/debree it should still be grease very good, but if not take it to a aftermarket shop...cause the stealership will cost!!! i had the same problem w/my 97 4runr cost was 900.00 bills but dealer would have been alot more!!!...may be the tracks!!!

"I hear the colonal has grizzards"
Part of the Service B of which i am constantly reminded that i have exceeded by 5000mi is to have the sunroof tracks oiled.
On the older model cars, this is much more essential ( i had an '89 300E)
... but I wouldn't imagine that ours wouldnt need it as well.
they sell that oil on performanceproducts.com, the dealership, and probably most auto stores ( im thinking it is a highgrade version of a standard oil/grease)
this would take care of it as far as it being slow
As far as it physically stopping just as it is about to close...
if im right... this only happens when we are driving (it happens to me too)
... so Ive come to the conclusion that it has something to do with pressure/ wind pressure.
once i come to a stop it will close. occasionally it will fight with me a little bit, so i open it all the way and then re-close it.
if this i am right regarding pressure, i'd also assume that driving with the windows cracked will relieve some of that pressure off of the sunroof.
basically... either get that SERVICE taken care of... or oil the tracks yourself... I'd think that'd be a good investment... i was actually planning on doing it sometime shortly
