heavy vibration

My clk vibrates when in drive and i come to a complete stop. I have had the plugs replaced ( the wires are fine), the egr valve has been replaced also. Dealer is saying I need new motor mounts. Has anyone had similar problems. Any help would be appreciated.

check motor mounts and trans mounts . the rubber goes bad and cracks causing a vibration and a stop or idle . hope that helps

I agree.

My dad's older E-Class was recently vibrating in reverse gear but not drive gears. Symptoms of worn engine mounts. Once they were changed, all was well.

Had it happen to me, I kinda tore them... whoops! I got everything done for like $250 with labor. It was a pretty good deal.

Agree on motormounts/tranny mount.
I had mine replaced about 6 months ago. Drives like new.
