Question CLK 320 vs. CLK55 AMG brake rotors

Question...

My CLK 320 needs new brake pads and rotors soon, something within this month. And i wanted to know if it was possible to swap in the AMG rotors, and calipers from a CLK55 AMG onto my CLK 320 without any modifications or problems.

Please let me know if it's as simple as switching them out or if they're completely different and it's not possible.

Thanks guys.

they will fit 100%

i done that on my clk

the only problem i had with that was the rim....i needed to install rim spacers so that the rim can fit...
also dont forget that u wont be able to put smaller rims than 17's in future!!!

Im honestly thinking about that $2000 brembo kit... if only it were cheaper

mainly because with my 20s, you can actually see the rusty brake and rotors! lol....

if i still had the stock amg wheels, i wouldnt worry about it as much.

GET Akebono Euro sport brake pads honestly, i can not say enough about how happy i am with these brake pads... virtually eliminated brake dust!

also, ask your mechanic to service (shave) your rotors... they'll be like new!

a relatively inexpensive and quick ( temporary) solution

wait, so i could fit them without any problems? Cause the rims i'm sitting on are the 17" AMG wheels from the CLK55 AMG (W208, the pic in my signature). Would that fit? or will i still have to modify them?

Okay, now for an important question...

How much are the AMG Rotors & Calipers? Will i be needing ANYTHING else? brackets? backing plates? etc?

Would you guys recommend the Brembo BBK or the AMG conversion? How much is the price difference? Which one is "better"?

they will fit 100%

i think u wont have any problems at least i didnt have
the mounting of the brakes is easy the only problem i had were my rims (18") (because they are not original AMG) so they dont have a buil in rim spacer so i had to make a custom 12mm rim spacer to fit them so that they dont touch the calipers

hmmmm i have only front rotors and calipers installed....when you get the set u wont be needing anything else, even the screws from your stock kit fits on the aftermarket ones.

Hmmmm brembo or amg.... I have AMG rotors and calipers. On teh front side is the AMG logo but on the rear side there is the BREMBO logo because AMG uses BREMBO brakes so i think if u chose any of them u wont be unsatisfied.
Hmmm now the price...i really dont know i payed for my front set 500 euros (they are new) got them really cheap i think

Haha thats hilarious that the AMG calipers are actually brembo. Makes sense though. Anyway, Im kind of in the same boat as y'all are... My break pad wear sensor went off about a month ago and I replaced the front pads but since my rotors were scraped so many times by the past owner there was a wicked lip (About a quarter inch deep) ground all around the caliper...
I also made a boo boo by putting auto zone pads on there cause they were the only ones I could get my hands on.
Well now the shop tells me that my rotors are ground down too much so I need new rotors and pads all around. I also checked out the Akebono pads but I don't think they make rotors too.

Anyone else know where to get the AMG brake kit, rotors, pads, calipers.
And Im pretty sure it will fit on my 99 Clk430.

why is it hilarious??? its true...on my calipers on the back side it says "brembo".
I also saw that on newer cars. Lots of crashed E55, CLS55, S55, SL55 AMG's have been repaired by me so i saw all those brakes and all of them on the back side had the "brembo" logo!!!
