A few weeks ago I took my car down to Kleemann and had some new parts installed: H&R springs, Kleemann dampers, front & rear Eibach sway bars, Brembo vented rotors, and oversized Mercedes calipers. As for the spring pads, we installed #1s in the rear, and left in the #3 front pads (I may change to #1s after the car settles).
The improvement in handling is unbelievable! I still need to get the front and rear camber kits installed, and have the car aligned, but I am loving life right now!
How about a close up photo of that brake job? What size rims and tires? I like the look from the rear.
I am wondering how much improvement on handling the same mods would have on a 55.
+1 ...interested in seeing what kind of "oversized MB calipers" youre running
also...you should have went the opposite way with spring pads...usually the front should have a lower spring pad number cuz the front tends to be a little higher than the rear...
The front spring pads that the parts-house originally shipped were wrong, so I had to stay with a #3 in the front at install. I have a #1 pad now and will be installing them shortly along with the KMAC camber kit. That said, my front has already settled quite a bit (as is typical on any car due to the weight of the engine).
As for the brake calipers, call Corey at Kleemann and ask him about the setup - I have no idea what the part numbers are. He originally put these together for a guy here in Denver, and this person sold his Benz after 500 miles or so and bought a Porsche. I was fortunate enough to get the calipers, rotors, stainless steel lines, brake calipers, and Kleemann dampers for $500!
The brakes are awesome. I suspect Corey has done this setup for others who didn't want to shell out the cash for the Kleemann brand.

That is a awesome deal. What would be the normal pricing for that stuff? What are the benefits of the kleeman dampers?
The more I see the painted brake calipers the more I want to do the same. Rashman did his blue, looks sharp !
Nice work, looking rude.!

I'm interested in the brake setup. What kind of calipers are you using. Is there a big difference in the braking.
There is a huge difference in performance. The new brakes on my car are basically stock brakes from a C55 AMG. Corey at Kleemann put the setup together. As to the calipers, I painted those myself (they were gray with the Merecedes Benz stamp).
The brake setup is much better for a couple of reasons. First, because my old brakes are considered to have "sliding" calipers, meaning there is only 1 "piston" which simply pushes on the inside brake bad, while the outside of the brake caliper actually slides, and pulls the outer brake pad onto the rotor. The AMG brakes on my car now are "floating" calipers, meaning only the pistons (there are 4 of them) move. The brake fluid will push each piston into the back of the brake pad, which means there is much more even distribution of brake pressure, and there is more braking pressure available as well.
The second reason the brakes are better has to do with size - the brakes we installed have a much larger rotor, meaning the swept area (the area of the rotor that is contacted by the brake bad) is bigger than the stock brakes. This means the rotor will take longer to heat up, and will also dissipate heat more quickly, which at the end of the day, means the brakes will not fade nearly as quickly as the stock brakes.
Again, the performance is incredible. With these new brakes, the Eibach sway bars, H&R springs, and Kleemann dampers, the car handles like nothing I have ever driven. I just cannot wait for headers and a supercharger.
