Okay fellow CLK owners... i know there was a thread already regarding good ebay deals.
well I happened to come across a few that are just completely RIDICULOUS!
So here is a thread to share with everyone those ridiculous ebay items, laughs, or if you simply want an opinion on whether or not an item is right ( if it promises 250HP+ it most likely isnt right!) lol
lol... i actually saw one item that was literally a whistle placed inside the rear exhaust tip. it clips to the rim... and makes your CLK sound like it has a turbo in it!

wow...that's retarded. 60k rpms? who cares how fast it CAN turn if it's not powered. it says it's not powered, so it can only obstruct air flow. A fan is no good if you use the air to TURN the fan. if you input some energy to the fan to attempt to increase the suction at least you have something worth TESTING for an increase. ebay sellers are often idiots.

Not saying that thing is remotely useful... but you're not quite right either. It's true it's no good as a fan... but if the ducting system past the intake has trouble with airflow, creating a spinning air mass could (in theory) increase the airflow through the pipes. Think of a river with lots of eddies where a kayaker can take a break with near zero effort... air pockets like that would rob the engine, and such a system would make it flow better.
That said, I'm hoping our car designers spent more time with our air intakes than to allow for such a situation.
