I'm torn...black or chrome 19's on a white 02 CLK?

I've been having a moral dilemma for a white CLK....black or chrome?
For me:

Black pros: looks like a younger owner drives it,not overdone, complements white pretty well for contrast

Cons: if/when i sell the car it will deter a lot of older buyers,worried black/polished is/is getting played out,i have always liked chrome on a Benz,chics seem to dig the chrome(even if they are gold diggers,lol)

not necessarily gonna go with the forums input but wanting some opinions on the matter...maybe it will help another member decide as well

Alot of the times it depends on the wheel, your setup (ride height, etc) there is no definite clear cut answer but if you have a picture of the wheels you have in mind (chrome and black) that would make it easier to choose

For a White car.... Black Contrast greatly...

you were right on that one. Chrome tends to blend with the white... but looks classy and "beautiful"

Black is sportier... and Bolder in this case, since the car is white.


It depends on your taste... do you want sporty or classy. You got a CLK so im assuming Sporty and just taste the classy luxuriousness as well.

I'd go with Black to answer your question.

id hafta to agree with most of what MBCLK430 said...it depends on if ur goin for sporty or classy ...both will turn heads and grab attn from diff types of audiences....it also depends on the types of other mods you plan on doing....i prefer the sporty route on a CLK since it IS a sport coupe so i would choose black....however chrome looks good on white too ...

if you dont plan on doing many other mods besides the rims...id say chrome...

if you plan on doin sum bodywork etc to compliment the black...then black rims...

actually, the very last car has the set of chrome wheels i'm looking at getting. since i'm going to be mainly staying stock, i will probably go chrome. no sense in modding my DD when i got this to play with,lol:

Wouldn't mind to see a white on white 430 w/ chrome lip. u know, wheels matched white w/ a chrome lip.

otherwise, it also looks pretty slick to have a white car w/ black wheels and a white lip. saw that on a a porsche. pretty sick
