front bumper and 2 foot pothole... ouch any new bumper suggestions?
today I hit a huge pothole under water, my whole right front is busted and the plastic under and behind fog light is cracked and rubbing against the tire... I am soooo pissed and tomorrow am going to getto rig it, get 2 estimates, take a picture of the pothole AND a video of another car hitting it and filing my claim to the city of Chicago... man this really sucks, the worst part is that it was under water! I am always dodging the Chicago holes, but this was under water and I couldn't even see it, thank got I was going slow...
so, any ideas on some replacement front bmpers and where to get them?, lorinsor, brabus, carlson, etc? also, I haven't gotten under there yet, but what is that plastic shield behind fog? it that another part not part of the bumper? right now it is being held up by 1 screw and some broken pieces of plastic
Wanna give the rest of chicagoans a heads up of what to avoid so we're not the ones on your tape?
For what it's worth if you're leaving midway airport and heading to 55 be very careful of the underpass there, at this point there's more potholes than pavements at that intersection.

That sucks man.. I dread the day that I hit something and I bend my rims or crack my bumper. I would say the easiest way to go would be to just replace it with another stock bumper. I went the Carlsson Rs route and it was a huge pain and it ended up costing me more that any stock AMG would ever had.
I knew you had to be from "up north" somewhere when I read the pothole story, hope it works out, I havent seen a pothole since I left Philly
