Has anyone got no.#1 coil pads with 18" alloys?

I was wondering how much lower my CLK would look with no#1 pads or maybe no.#2 and a set of 18" alloys does anyone have this arrangement and photos they can post?

Thanks

I have # 1 pads in the front with 19's.. have a look at my profile pic. I wouldn't change a thing and there is no rubbing.. of course I changed a few other things than just the spring pads.

Thanks for the info. Your profile looks great, and I see that the gap is very minimal. Maybe therefore if I chose 18" it will be ok, or perhaps I should go to 19". You said that you have put no#1 on the front and no#4 on the back what were the pads before? And also when you said you wouldnt change a thing did you mean just change the pads and not bother with the springs?

Thanks man.. this summer before I did anything to my car, I spent a lot of time of the forums and everyone was very helpfull.. I read about every thread that has to do with springs and shocks. There are many peeps on here that have 19's and love em, myself included. They really give the car a nice look. I had 18's on my previous car and everytime I looked at them I wished they were 19's.. that why I did it. The car came stock with # 4 clk pads in the front and I cant even remember what they were in the back #5 maybe. I bought #1 E-class pads and used them for the front and I took the ones that were on the front and put them on the rear. The result was a perfect drop..(for me at least) The back would have been a little high but my speaker box is really heavy and that evens it out (as pointed out above). I wouldnt change a thing becasue I am happy with the way the car looks and drives. Definetly change the springs and the shocks too.. changing just the spring pads it kinda a waste of time IMO.

Why is it important to change the springs and shocks too, will the car rub if I dont because the orignal springs will be too soft?
