You searched all over? And you don't like mine? My feelings are hurt...
This is for a W210 by the drain method, but it's the same V6 you guys have.

A couple of tips for the DIY-newbies.
First, forget about the "oil input" on the other DIY. While you have the filter assembly out, pour the fresh oil down that huge hole. Less chance to spill, no funnel needed (and no funnel to clean up afterwards). (Obviously, if you drained the oil, be sure to put the drain plug back in first!!)
Second, once you have torqued your filter assembly back in, clean the edge of the housing and then use an awl (or even a nail, it's just aluminum and composite) to
gently score a line perpendicular to the joint between the housing and the top of the assembly so that it scores both components. In the future, you don't need a torque wrench, so long as you fit a new o-ring each time when those two lines match up you'll be more than close enough for government work. Naturally, this is optional, some folks would not choose to do this.
Third, have two rags handy when you pull the filter assembly out. One you use to catch the assembly so as not to drip stuff all over, then the other -- this one should be clean and lint-free -- you use to ball up softly so it covers the opening on the engine. Lots of things can fall into gaping holes, and in this case none of them would be good.
Take care and enjoy the ride,
Greg
