BAS,ESP,ABS, and P400 code

I've recenty been getting the ABS,BAS,ESP malfunction on my cluster display every time I step on the brake after I turn the car on. It stays on until the car is turned off, then on the next start-up it comes back on as soon as I step on the brake. I changed my front brakes today thinking it may have been a bad pad sensor but it didn't change. I then ran a code reader and got the code P400 (EGR Malfunction). I took the EGR off and cleaned out the metal line, it was about 80% clogged. I have to pick up a couple of vacuum lines at the dealer that looked to need changing coming off the EGR. I'm hoping cleaning the line and replacing the vacuum lines will solve it. If not I'm back to square one. Anyone ever had this code (P400) plus ABS, BAS,ESP show up and found a specific issue to cause them all? Any feed back would be appreciated. Thanks.

with the brake problem I can help you. the culprit it's a switch at the brake pedal, it gets stuck. buy one, at the dealer it's around $14-15.
if you look down there(at pedal) you will notice a switch. remove the connector, switch has a tab which (if I remember well) has to be pushed in and the whole switch will come out by twisting it. same way to replace.

so I am new here, In fact I joined because of this question. I am looking at purchasing a 2000 clk320- tomorrow actually, and while I had it out for a test drive to the mechanics, this car did this same thing a few times... The malfunction indicator came on with the BAS ESP ABS malfunctions. The mechanic I took it to was just looking for major leaks and issues but he in no way knows MB. I know nothing about cars myself, so I am just checking, does this mean that this problem is not a big deal to fix, and will changing this switch fix all three issues?
Thanks in advance, I really want this car...

it also has a leak from the steering stabilizer and I will be searching this forum for that answer too!!!

Where exactly is this panel to be screwed out that the link refers too? THe pics are great but everything is so close up I cant relate where to look?

It's all on the driver's side of the car under the steering wheel you'll see the same area which is depicted in the pictures.
