So we are all posting up here that we are "in" on this group buy but correct me if I am wrong we are still unsure of the price as well as availability and ETA of the lights. I would be willing to venture that we will have a few people back out that signed up. I'm sure some of the Newbeees will when they find out that they have to remove their bumper to install these lights. I would like to see this info and then see who is still in. Not trying to throw a wrench in the works Williams because I really appreciate what you are doing but I would just like to have that info if it is available.
I'd be down but I need to see what the black lights look like, since I don't know jack shit about lights and modding, I have questions.
The black versions are the same lights/bulbs as the chrome ones except the casing or whatever is black inside? I'm asking because I'm blacking the car out, and I'm not sure what 'black accents' means.
How easy are these to install?
Will installing these 3rd party lights cause the computer to act up?
Where do I buy replacement bulbs?
Keep in mind, I'm clueless with this shit.
Hersh I think you need to educate the forum for us that are n00bz at this stuff. lolz
Yeah, I believe everyone that's signing their name is signing it saying "i'm interested in a group buy," not i'll send you however much $$ for whatever fitment as soon as you tell me. there are a few contingencies.
Bensin, I installed factory xenons in my stock halogen setup, and it caused no computer problems. However, installing the LEDs as city lights did. I doubt we'll have problems with headlight warnings, but dont quote me on it. Replacement bulbs shouldn't be hard to find. I believe you can use your factory halogen lights (can be found at napa, autozone etc) or upgrade to xenons. Harder to find, but not hard to find.
And installation isn't that bad provided you have some wrenches and ratchets. You have to loosen 4 small bolts on the bumper (2 are hard to get to), and then undo 2 larger bolts at the top of the bumper, behind the grill. This part is a hair annoying. Other than that, unbolt your light housings and unhook the electrical connections and pull the bulbs out and then reinstall the new ones in the opposite order. Takes probably 2 hrs for your first time.
I was told over the weekend by the company that will be selling this product that this manufacture is in Taiwan and is where they get most of their after market parts. They also said that this manufacture typically designs their products for H1 bulbs. This is the latest and seems the manufacture are not giving them detailed specifics. Projection is still end of March.

I haven't read through this entire thread ...so I don't know when the eta is for these lights and how we will be sending money and such.
Can anyone chime in and give me the run down in a nutshell please? Thanks.
I figured we would cross that bridge when we get a confirmed price.
These are being made in Taiwan, not sure which company but I do know it is not DEPO. ETA is the end of this month.
