?How to reset service exceeded light - Benzworld.org - Mercedes-Benz Discussion Forum

Can anyone tell me the procedure to reset the flexible service system counter? I perform all the required service myself, probably before the dealer would recommend it, however, I need to turn off the reminder message. I would appreciate any help. thanks.

turn the electronic key to position 2
call up the trip odometer and main odometer
press the up or donw arrow until the FSS indicator appears
press the "R" on the instrument cluster for approx 4 seconds

YES, it's in my owners manual but I've heard that some manuals don't have the same instructions. Mines for the 02 CLK430 Cabrio ( on page 111)
