Topsider to do tranny oil change?

I did an oil change using the topsider which was cool. Do you guys think I can use this for my other cars ie an old Toyota Corolla? How about sucking out the tranny fluid with it as well?

Re: other cars, if you can get to the lowest point in the oil pan with the line it should work fine.

I don't think I'd try it for a tranny, though, because changing fluid is only 1/3 the issue. When you drop the pan you then let more fluid drip out of the valve body and passages which takes some time, so you'd have to keep coming back to the topsider periodically. Also, there is always a gummy film of stuff lining the bottom of the pan, so after you pull it off you can clean all that out. Last is the filter; the only way to change that is to pull the pan, so you're back at square one.

Take care and enjoy the ride,
Greg

I thought I would use my Topsider to change the oil on my older pickup. NOT! The dipstick runs down between the exhaust manifold and block. After warming the engine so the oil would run more freely(it's freezing here)the 1/4 inch tubing melted and I had to pull dipstick pipe to get the tubing out of the motor.
