AMAZING...

How these model CLK's STILL look like the hottest whips on the street! I get stopped ALL THE TIME, people always wondering what kind of car it is! I tell them it's a 2000 and they just can't believe it! Drive safe!

RE: AMAZING...

That's one thing I hate about living in the city I live in. Most people here don't know anything about cars unless it's a Mustang, Camaro or a ricer import. I've had people actually look over my car and ask "What is it? Is it a Volkswagon?" That pisses me off so much. I don't even want to have a conversation with them. I want to smack them and say "Does this car really look like a Volkswagon????"

RE: AMAZING...

wifey wanted me to get a 2006 honda odyssey at $40K. I settled for an 00 CLK 430 instead for less than 15K. people still can't believe its a 2000 model.

Funny thing is, many people think I'm loaded driving a used benz....whereas, they'd think im an average joe i drove a 40K minivan. anywayz, fuck em all, im happy. [:D]

btw jt, you should've just told them it was a custom made volkswagon from MB [:o)] then again, they may be just pulling your leg since they don't have one.

RE: AMAZING...

Just got back from the restaurant supply store. I was the only one in the parking lot and while walking up to my car, about 8 kids in their early teens came around the corner on bmx's, saw my car and one yelled, "Mercedes Benz all the way!!" and another one yelled, "Damn, that shit is tight!" I wish my wife would say that about my car, lol.

RE: AMAZING...

ya, i think i got a decent deal. got it from my bro last summer w/ 55K miles on it for 14K. no problems. its odd that he finds the car to be played out (he's had it for 5 years).

in any case, i'm going to wait a few years for the w219 to depreciate before getting another MB....that car is my dream car (for now)
