CLK 230 KOMPRESSOR COVERTIBLE

Hi guys just wanted to know can you shut the convertible hood via the keyless entry fob? My car is the 2000 avantgarde model. Also csn you shut the windows via the control like the e-class models?

RE: CLK 230 KOMPRESSOR COVERTIBLE

On my 2002 CLK55, only the windows can be operated by the key. I was just reading this part of the owners manual this weekend.

After locking, or unlocking the doors with the remote, depress the open or close button again, and hold for approx. 4 seconds to start the up or down of all four windows. You have to keep holding the button, and point the infra red end of the remote toward the door handle (where the little rectangular sensor is located).

Enjoy !!

BTW, nice ride !! With very nice wheels !!

I don't think they offer that on the soft-top models prior to 2005, as they have to be manually unlatched to open and also manually secured when closing. From my understanding, it wasn't until the 2005 model year that the soft-tops are now fully automatic. I would guess that the remote feature is now available as well. Someone else please chime in if I have this wrong.

I wish I don't have to sit there and hold the red operation button for about 29 seconds everytime. Doing it with a remote has not even been in my dream yet.

Does W209 have that function???

What I meant about the red button is the convertible top operation. A one touch convertible operation is what I ultimately want. I don't even dare dreaming about having the convertible operation via a remote button.

Ofcourse, you can press the button to close or open windows for about 4 seconds.
