windows will not stay closed

On my 99 clk 430 my windows and my sunroof open on there own, whenever I lock the car. It occurs about 15 seconds after I close the door and lock the car. I am also noticing a clicking noise from inside the car when I drive. I believe that the clicking noise has something to do with the central locking system because after it clicks the doors unlock. I think that these 2 problems are related. I just can't figure it out. I was hoping that someone else has had this problem and might know how to fix it.

RE: windows will not stay closed

I have tried that, the windows still roll down after locking the car.

Humm.. did you try resetting the ECU? you have to re-calibarte the windows afterwards, that may help.

RE: windows will not stay closed

Does the 99 have the "all down" feature when you hold down the unlock button on the key?
My 01 does that (all windows come down and the sunroof opens as long as you hold the button), so you might be right in looking for the "clicking" sound. It might be a momentary failure in that particular relay.

RE: windows will not stay closed

I do have the all down feature, i have reset the ECU as well as recalibrating the windows. But still the windows go down on there own. I am going to get new batteries for the remote today hopefully that is the problem.
